By the end

Run a launch checklist that covers tracking, operations, partner readiness and internal response.

01

Test from click to payment

A launch test should cover links, consent behavior, different devices, eligible products, discounts, cancellations, reporting, validation and payment—not merely whether a pixel fires.

  • Document expected and actual results.
  • Test important customer journeys.
  • Assign an owner for tracking incidents.

02

Prepare the partner experience

Partners need approved messaging, product facts, terms, working links, creative options and a real contact. Make application review and launch timelines clear.

  • Remove expired assets.
  • Answer common questions before launch.
  • Give partners a reason to prioritize the launch.

03

Plan the first 90 days

Start with a manageable partner group, monitor quality closely and learn before scaling. Set weekly operating reviews and monthly business reviews with explicit decisions.

  • A launch date is the beginning, not the finish.
  • Track activation as well as recruitment.
  • Record changes to terms and tracking.

Worked example

A controlled launch

Ten partners receive the final terms, tested links, product guidance and one contact. The team watches every transaction class for two weeks before opening recruitment more widely.

Common mistake

Watch for this

Launching recruitment before test orders, reporting ownership and partner support are ready. Early trust is difficult to rebuild after missing commissions or slow answers.
